Choral music is in 4 parts:-
Soprano
Alto
Tenor
Bass
In Open Score, there is one staff per part. In Short Score the notes are on 2 staffs -like piano music- with two parts sharing each staff.
When changing from Open score to Short score
1)Soprano notes stems point up; Alto point down and share the treble staff.
Tenor note stem point up; bass notes- down and both share the Bass staff.
2)A # (or b) on the same note- but other part- in a bar has to be marked # (b)
